New York City & Casually Running into Maya Hawke from Stranger Things
Imagery by Jacqueline & Me
Disclaimer: this trip was over two weeks ago and I wanted to document it on here as I always do, that being said, things have gotten pretty serious in the last few days and I am in no way encouraging my followers to travel and or go out to social gatherings amidst this world pandemic. Please practice social distancing/isolation and be mindful of others, stay healthy. God be with us.
Amidst the corona virus outbreak me and some friends decided to meet up in New York for a quick weekend get away. People always get together and say “oh lets go here, lets go there” but it never actually happens, I mean what are the chances more than one of your friends is actually able and available to fly out to a different city to meet up there? Pretty slim I’d say but it worked out for us.
Here are some iPhone shots I randomly snapped throughtout, I did take my camera but did not use it at all, we were in and out all the time and I didn’t want to carry it around with me in all honesty. Some of my friends you’d recognize from my Instagram, Jacqueline (blonde), Beba (works with me and Jacqueline) and of course Danny and Paula you would have seen here on my blog before when I visited Boston last year.

Meeting Maya
The day we came back home as I’m standing in line at the airport waiting to check in and go through TSA I see this girl with light brown hair walk through a door near me, we lock eyes for a sec then she walks past. I recognized her immediately and freaked out inside but kept my cool, I did tell Jacqueline but she had no idea who Maya was, and seemingly neither did anybody else there actually, or at least no one seemed to take notice. So I get through security, put my shoes back on and start walking towards my gate, absolutely bummed out I didn’t get to take a picture with her, meanwhile I look ahead and there she is again, tying her shoelaces. What came next went really fast, a total blur, I walked up to her and said “hey Maya” as calm/natural as possible, she replied “what’s up” in a really playful, sweet tone, (she totally knew I had recognized her) “can I get a picture” and she smiled and said “of course, I look crazy right now, but sure” to which I added “nah you’re adorable” and she just laughed, she was super sweet, I thanked her and wished her a safe flight. I didn’t want to hover or be all up on her, even though I felt like inviting her to lunch, talk about life then walking her to her gate lmao.
